“Layla is amazing! She has been keeping my Shire ‘tickety boo’ for the last six months. She is so kind and understanding, he likes to move his feet, normally circling her every so few minutes and Layla instantly stops what she is doing so he can do his circle and then when he stands still again she continues. I have never once heard her raise her voice, get annoyed or frustrated with his fidgety behaviour. I truly feel she understands him and accepts him for being him. My horse Simon is an appaloosa- need I say more slightly quirky at that.. He doesn't do standing still or new people.. On her first visit to us Layla stole his heart she danced with him and was sooooo patient not once minding his constant moving around.. She chattered away the whole time, explaining what she was doing and why and generally made us both feel at ease. After his first session I felt a genuine change in his way of going; ‘lighter and looser’... So Layla will be a regular visitor for maintenance. Simon is not a high grade showjumper, eventer or even a competition horse... He's my 19 year-old nutter who I literally adore and just have fun with. Thank you Layla! Ps.
